I attended UW Stevens Point and earned my bachelors degree in Biology in 1996. I started at Back-in-Action Rehabilitation as an exercise assistant, but my desire to help others led me back to school for my Masters in Physical Therapy, graduating from Carroll College in 2002. I really enjoy the friendly, caring atmosphere at Back-in-Action, and have been fortunate to work with the talented and caring staff.
I know that people can be hesitant about attending a physical therapy session - not knowing what to expect. Typically I spend the first session reviewing the history of the current injury and getting to know my client. I then establish a plan of treatment and care. Each plan of care is individually tailored for my patient and specific to the functions which need to be restored.
What I enjoy most about working as a physical therapist is the uniqueness of each client. The human body is an amazing machine, able to perform nearly limitless functions. However, it can break down at times, and the challenge is to find out what particular areas of the body are causing problems, and to correct those faults to help restore function.
I enjoy the challenge that working as a therapist provides me. Although each patients injury is different, my goal is always the same - to help that person get back to enjoying life as pain-free as possible.

| The field of physical therapy is always expanding and advancing, and to provide effective treatment requires keeping up with these advances. I have been able to attend many continuing education courses, pursuing areas of interest including: soft tissue and functional joint mobilization, advanced rehabilitation for the knee and shoulder, body mechanics and mechanics of the golf swing. |

Seamus, I am getting along just fine. I take very little medicine. My pain is very minor. Nights are for sleeping now. I am most grateful for your help.
