therapy experts therapy john olson
john olsonTwo decades ago, while in college, my initial exposure to physical therapy was as a nursing assistant in an extended care facility. I could observe the positive impact of physical therapy on the residents. From that point, I knew that I needed to pursue a career in physical therapy.

After receiving my Bachelor of Science degree from UW LaCrosse, a nationally recognized leading institution for providing excellence in training for physical therapy, I pursued a Master of Arts degree from Kent State University in Exercise Science.

In continual pursuit of learning more about healing therapies, I began residency training in manual therapy and medical exercise therapy. This was an extremely rewarding and careeraltering experience. In this program, I learned the value of teaching and acquired the skills to become an effective communicator.

Much of my job is that of an educator and teacher. My patients need to understand the “why’s” of a treatment strategy. It is very rewarding to work together as a team in getting them to enjoy life again.

At Back-in-Action, I’ve been able to stay directly involved in patient care as well as assisting to guide the development of Back-in-Action Rehabilitation. I am honored to work with some of the best therapists and rehabilitation staff in the state. I can’t honestly imagine doing anything different at any different location.

I love what I do..
