I am the youngest of five children and grew up in rural southwest Wisconsin where family farms were prevalent. Farm life with four siblings taught me several things: how to work and get along with others, commitment and responsibility, and how to make sure that you watch where you walk!(Especially in the cow yard.) Little did I know that these would be skills that would help me to accomplish other things in life.
I became interested in the field of physical therapy by the encouragement of my two sisters who continue to practice as registered nurses today. With the proximity and reputation of the Physical Therapy program at UWLaCrosse, attending the University was an easy choice. Attending college not only providedme with an excellent education, but also gave me the opportunity to meet my wife and two friends who have helped to mold Back-in-Action into what it is today.
My wife and I started Back-in-Action because we knew we could make a difference in the way people were treated and the level of care they could receive. To be able to stay directly involved in patient care and help to guide the practice was a goal that I am proud to say I have been able to attain.
I truly enjoy getting to know my clients, and becoming a part of their recovery. Having the ability to work with such a talented group of therapists, in a relaxed atmosphere, is something that people in my profession can only dream about.

| Much like any other aspect of healthcare, research and technology changes the way we look at and treat clients. Consistently attending coursework after graduation is a commitment Ive made to enhance the success of my patient care. For nearly two decades I have attended coursework on: manual therapy of the spine and extremities; treatment of headaches and tempro mandibular (TMJ) disorders; and advanced rehab for the knee and shoulder. |

Dan, with your help I was able to
recover from a back injury that
could have ended my high

I not only recovered, but played
a role on our team in capturing
the state title.
